Stem Cell Therapy

Stem cells are also referred to as master cells or unspecialised cells.

Unspecialised stem cells differentiate into more specialised cells as red blood cells, muscle, bone, cartilage and nerve cells. Stem cells are present in various tissues as peripheral blood, bone, umbilical cord blood and fat tissue.

Stem cell based procedure aims to provide their curative benefit by engrafting stem cells into affected tissue, joints etc. Thus regenerating and replacing diseased and damaged cells with new and improved ones. Cellular Therapy is performed in our clinic by doctors as a minimally invasive procedure.

Stem cells are harvested by minimal liposuction from the patient’s fat tissue.
They are purified and injected back to patient’s body under the skin
(subcutaneously) ,intravenously or into the joints.
The whole procedure takes approximately 2 hours and has no known negative side effects.

Following the treatment patient’s adipose stem cells travel throughout the body, detecting damaged cells and tissues and attempt to repair them.

In our clinic we have been using stem cells enriched with growth factors for treatment of knee osteoarthritis.
